San Francisco-based vaporizer manufacturer Pax Labs has a new CEO.
After less than two years at the company’s helm, Bharat Vasan has been pushed out. Lisa Sergi Trager, who was recently hired by the company to serve in the position of general counsel, is now serving as the interim CEO in light of Vasan’s ousting.
Trager provided TechCrunch with a statement in which she said that Pax Labs “is uniquely positioned as a leader in the burgeoning cannabis industry, with a talented team, an iconic brand, quality products and the balance sheet to achieve our ambitious goals and continued growth trajectory.”
News of the leadership shakeup was first reported by TechCrunch and later confirmed by Law.com’s Dan Clark.
Pax Labs, previously known as Ploom, was once the makers of Juul e-cigarettes before Juul was spun off into a separate company, forming Juul Labs. Today, Pax Labs offers customers a range of portable vaporizers designed for use with dry herbs and concentrates. This includes the Pax Era, which is designed to work exclusively with Pax Era oil pods; the Pax 2 vaporizer, which is designed to work with dry herbs; and the dual-use Pax 3 that’s designed to work with both dry herbs and concentrates.
