The Hanu Labs vape company, which spawned out of popular herbal vaporizer manufacturer VapeXhale, has released a new portable oil vaporizer known as the Hanu Stone.

Both its design and name are derived from skipping stones, which is why it looks nothing like the popular 510 thread vape pens that are all the rage these days. And it’s not just its appearance that’s out of the ordinary, as it’s equipped with an atomizer that offers three times as much surface area as a 510 pen. This increased surface area allows the Stone to quickly produce a large amount of vapor while simultaneously reducing the amount of strain on the heating elements and battery.

As the pods that it’s designed to work with come prefilled with oil, vapers who are interested in buying the Stone vaporizer are limited in where they can purchase it. At the moment, it’s not sold online, leaving would-be customers to use the company’s store locator tool to find a local shop that has it in stock. For vapers outside of California, this could prove to be an issue as the only stores that carry it at this time are located in California.

One such store is Harborside in Oakland and San Jose, California, which carries a wide selection of marijuana products, including vape cartridges that designed to work with vaporizers like the Hanu Stone. They also carry cartridges for vapes like the G Pen Gio, Airo Pro, and a number of others.

Hanu Stone pods are available in different sizes, which currently range from 500mg to 1000mg. They’re magnetically connected, making them easy to insert and remove.

Like many modern vapes, the Stone uses an LED light indicator to convey the vape’s status, be it engagement or charging.

The Stone’s 3.7V static lithium-ion battery has a 500 milliamp capacity and recharges via micro-USB. Its wick, or rather what it uses in place of a wick, is a ceramic porous chamber that aims to preserve the oil’s terpene profile by producing large clouds of vapor at lower temperatures.

The vape’s exterior is made from a food grade safe zinc alloy that’s electroplated with a graphite gray matte finish.

In short, this is one hi-tech oil vape and Hanu Labs has done well to set the bar for other vape manufacturers competing for the oil vaporizer market.
