Apollo Future Technology, which is also known as Apollo Vapes and Apollo E-Cigs, has been hit with a temporary restraining order that bars it from selling certain products following an investigation by the Alameda County District Attorney.
The temporary restraining order against the company was announced on September 6, 2023, by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price.
The district attorney’s office alleges in its lawsuit against the company, which is based in Livermore, California, that the company illegally sold flavored tobacco and synthetic cannabis products to minors.
Price said that the company “illegally shipped the flavored products through the United States Postal Service without complying with California’s delivery requirements” and that they further “manufactured and sold thousands of synthetic cannabis products in packaging that falsely claimed the products were legal,” NBC Bay Area reported.
“They used a warehouse as their base of operation to sell flavored e-cigs predominantly to individuals under the age of 21,” Price said, according to Kron4.
Gabriel Markoff with the Consumer Justice Bureau was quoted by Kron4 as having said that the state seized eighty-seven jars of synthetic cannabis.
A court date has been set for September 21, 2023.
The Apollo E-Cigs website was down for maintenance at the time of writing. The maintenance message displayed on the website read: “We are in the process of updating our website and will resume normal operations shortly.”
